Prior to joining UCC, Alexis served as the Director of Student Programs at the Blum Center for Developing Economies at the University of California, Berkeley. In this role she managed both the Global Poverty and Practice Minor and the Big Ideas @ Berkeley Contest, a student innovation competition focused on solving the world’s most pressing problems. She previously completed a term of AmeriCorps service as a National Civilian Community Corps Team Leader, which provided great preparation for her subsequent position as a Program Coordinator for Service Learning and Leadership in Cal Corps Public Service Center. She earned a BS in Management from the University of Utah and an MA in Education –Counseling in Student Affairs from UCLA.

Johanna manages the Utah Campus Compact AmeriCorps Program. Before joining Utah Campus Compact as Program Manager, she served for two years as an AmeriCorps VISTA with the Utah Campus Compact VISTA Project at Weber State University's Community Involvement Center.

Hadiyah Shabazz came to Utah Campus Compact after serving a VISTA term with California Conservation Corps Greenwood Center. She is a native of California and is excited to experience the many trails, parks, activities and foods Utah has to offer. She has a B.S. from University of California, Riverside in Anthropology and a minor in dance. Hadiyah is excited to support her fellow Utah Campus Compact VISTAs in their efforts in building sustainable community partnerships between community organizations and institutions of higher education. In her free time she enjoys reading, dancing and exploring.

Amy joined Utah Campus Compact in mid-September 2012. She moved to Salt Lake City two hours after Graduating from Utah State University in previous May. She graduated with a B.S. in Cultural Anthropology and a minor in Sociology. Aside from trying to find the best places to eat in Salt Lake City, Amy enjoys playing the guitar, rock climbing, cycling, and dancing.
