Conference Information:
(Please note: These are two separate conferences being held consecutively at the same location.)

UCAN Serve AmeriCorps Coordinator Conference (February 17-18, 2010):
This conference is for UCAN Serve Coordinators and/or staff/faculty/workstudy who help coordinate/manage the UCAN Serve program locally in Utah, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico and Montana. Participants are invited to gather together to learn more about the UCAN Serve AmeriCorps Program.  There will be opportunities to share best practices, exchange program models, ask questions, and learn about changes in the next grant year.

Transportation, meals and lodging will be covered by UCAN Serve AmeriCorps Program.  All accommodations and travel must be arranged through Colorado Campus Compact staff; please do not book travel or make hotel reservations on your own.
Cancelation Policy: Should you cancel, you will be responsible for all non-refundable charges (i.e. airfare, hotel reservations, etc.).

Campus Sharing:
Please bring information, brochures and/or any items you wish to share with the group regarding the UCAN Serve program on your campus.  We are especially interested in learning about best practices, new and exciting ideas for the upcoming year, and lessons learned from past experiences.  As well, we will host a discussion on working with and motivating different generations.  Please be prepared to share your experiences.

Utah Campus Compact Annual Conference
on Civic Engagement (February 19-20, 2010):

This annual conference brings faculty and staff together to share civic engagement strategies that prepare students for responsible citizenship. It offers a forum where best practices and research in service-learning partnerships, co-curricular service, and civic action can be shared and discussed. It also fosters opportunities for networking among peers and statewide leaders in the field of civic engagement.

Each institution is invited to send a team of participants that are involved (or who want to be involved) with civic engagement initiatives on their campus. Community partners and students are welcome to attend, especially as co-presenters, but they should be aware that most workshops will be aimed at faculty, staff, and administrators. Each session will be in the form of a 60 minute-workshop.

Accommodations and travel should be arranged through your institution. Registration is $50 for attendees from Campus Compact member institutions and $100 for attendees from non-member institutions. Presenters receive a $25 discount on registration. Your institution will be invoiced for your registration.
