Utah Campus Compact provides a limited number of professional development stipends for faculty and staff at member institutions to enhance their knowledge and skills in the following areas:
- Service‐learning
- Co‐curricular service
- Student civic engagement
- Community‐based research
- Campus‐community partnerships (related to service initiatives)
Applicants can receive reimbursement of up to $400 to attend conferences, trainings, or other activities that are directly tied to the areas specified above. Stipends are limited to two people per member institution during 2011-2012.
To apply, complete the Professional Development Stipend Application form (PDF) and submit to the director of your institution’s volunteer or service‐learning program. If the application is approved, the director will send it to Utah Campus Compact for funding. (If your institution does not have a volunteer or service‐learning office, please contact Mitch Longson at mlongson@utahsbr.edu.) Utah Campus Compact will then reimburse the department indicated on the application.
